  1. Coffee shop? They got Starbucks in China; and even at the Great Wall. But they're not everywhere. Then they got this coffee shop called Xin Dao that's everywhere. But it's expensive. In China, expect to pay like $15 for a pot of coffee. I never go to coffee shops. Plus, some places have a surcharge if you sit for a long time. They add it to your bill.

Starbucks is almost always packed in China.

In China, they got KFC too, and they make a pretty decent iced coffee.

    McDonald's has hot coffee too.

If you go to Hong Kong, go to McDonald's and they got a really nice coffee shop in there. Sort of half-eating place, half-coffee place. But those McDonald's are really packed most of the time.

If you really need to drink coffee, it's better if you bring it from home. Bring a little travel filter basket and some filters, and a can of coffee. Much cheaper and convenient that way.

Supermarkets sell canned, ready-to-drink coffee too - in the beverage aisle. Never tried those though.

  2. Vietnam coffee is the best coffee in Asia. As for the coffee shop it depends on the location where you enjoy your cuppa. I like one at Vung Tau where the shop is on top the cliff overlooking the sea. The view is out of this world in the morning.

  3. I live in South Korea, but travel to Japan 2 to 3 times a year. When I want a dependable cup of coffee...I go to Starbucks. We have Dunkin' Donuts as well...but it seems that some outlets do a better job then others. Starbucks seems to be consistently more dependable for quality, freshness of product, and service.

  4. starbucks and UCC..... ueshima coffee company.......
