What is the best college for photography?

I'm in Photography and Roaring M gave you a terrific list. They are the elite schools of art photography.   But....what type of photography do you want to do?  If, for example, you want to photograph fashions or food, or just do weddings or Walmart portraits, you probably should go to a commercial photography school.

You can get a good photography education at any college that has a strong art school. However, the best respected photography programs are at:

- School of the Art Institute of Chicago

- Rhode Island School of Design

- University of New Mexico

- Rochester Institute of Technology

- University of Arizona

- Arizona State U

- U California Los Angeles

- Yale

- California Institute of the Arts

- San Francisco Art Institute (not part of that Art Institute chain of schools, which I do not recommend)

Those are the elite of the photography programs. Very strong reputations.
