  1. Business Administration would be fine, because of the valuable lessons in leadership and accountability it teaches.

  2. Getting into the US Naval Academy would be the best bet.

The Citadel would be second best.

If you are going to a regular college and do ROTC,  then you need a degree that is useful.  Forget any kind of  "Arts" degree,  you need a "Science" degree.   Civil Engineering would be good because a lot of the problems in fighting a war is preventing the enemy from destroying your stuff and advancing in face of the enemy destroying bridges and things behind him.   Also spend some time taking whatever military history type classes you can get.   Knowing why wars were won or lost will help you make decisions as an infantry officer.   (IE:  Sometimes a small unit has to be sacrificed in order to further the advance elsewhere.  Not very comforting if you are the small unit commander that is about to be sacrificed.)

As you study, do not forget your body.  Do not get fat and lazy.  Work out and exercise.   You will have to do the same basic training as the troops so you do not want to look like a slob.   Do not smoke.  Do not get a DUI.   Do not use drugs.

Follow the basic military dogma of "I will not lie, cheat or steal nor tolerate those who do."   Telling the truth is the basis of winning a war and those above you need to know when you give the facts,  they are the facts and not you just telling them what they want to hear.

    Good luck.\

  3. party 101

    beer kegger (advanced)

    mackin' the girls 202

    shamming 102

    procrastination 203

  4. I would probably major in geography if I were you. As an Officer you'll have to be able to plan/accomplish a mission by understanding the area of operations by knowing the area, location, the people/enemy, culture, religion and customs of that area and the economy just to name a few. At least for this major, you will be applying some of the things you have learn to your military career.

  5. History or Political Science.

  6. The best major is the one that gets you the degree.

Aside from that, the military always appreciates engineering and sciences, or humanities with a lot of critical thinking and analysis.
