What is the best color for highlights?

I have dark brown and medium length hair, I am thinking about highlights and I have greenish blue eyes (if that helps), either highlights in my bangs and around my face or everywhere and I'm not sure what is best or what color to try, any pictures would help and advice, thanks 10 points for best answer. ♥

I like red. Red does goes with brown and since it's highlight it blend in which makes it more natural :]
