  1. I've heard Depo is a very common BC to go on after giving birth. However, make sure you speak with your doc about this one because it has various side effects.

  2. Yaz is a good birth control pill, plus it helps with cramping, bloating, lighter periods, acne, and PMS symptoms.

And I think you're thinking of a vasectomy- no it's not permanent, you can reverse it. The catch there is that it's not guaranteed to be reversible- so he very well might be infertile for the rest of his life. Just get the pill. It's much smarter if you plan on another baby.

  3. I agree with sjeboyce- I am on my 2nd Mirena IUD.  Even though my kids are less then 3 years apart, its not only a great long term contraceptive, but great in the short term too.  Most insurances pay for it- its like 600 if you pay out of pocket.  You don't have to worry about antibiotics causing it not to work, or doing anything at all.  My only complaint, but still does not out weigh the benefits, was that it KILLED when I had it put it.  I had 2 c-sections, so I never dialated and it really hurts getting it put in.  Its just like contraction cramping- kind of takes your breath away!  But it is definately worth it regardless. Also, every other BC made me FAT and this one didn't!

  4. personally i am really bad at taking pills so any kind of pill birth control was out and i didnt feel that the nuva ring was confortable so i went with Merina IUC it last up to 5 years and you can get it taken out whenever you want and can get pregnant imediatelly after remove rather than waiting for the hormones to get out of your system which could sometimes take a while.
