do your research. there is alot involved. wouldn't it be nice if government would offer some form of incentive to help with conversions? yeah right as if that will happen. governments in north america are too closely linked to the oil industry. I have done my own conversion to electric. wasn't cheap but it was educational.

mother earth news has plans for building your own hybrid electric car. it uses a small gas engine to power the charging system and the electrical system, and uses a large electric motor to power the car.

The more important question is: How good will

this vehicle perform in the dead of winter during bad

weather,with the lights on,wipers ,heater/defroster running

and with snow piling-up requiring some serious torque

in the drive-train.

     Electric is still for non-snow states and countries.

Even hy-brids'll die here in up-state Naww Yawwk.

     Sure,Dodge,I believe, sells a hy-brid pickup......

However you must take out a mortgage to buy one.

     Pleasing the Propagandists is expensive.

The best you can do is at your local new car lot

Doing it your self is kind of like trying to build a full size 747 from a kit in your garage.

No this is not meant to be a joke it is the truth it is extremely complex to change a car of today over that the money you will spend will far out weigh the cost of a new one.
