  1. American Express has great customer service.  However, I've had pretty good experiences with most credit card issuers.

I tend to go for the cards that pay me the most in rewards for my normal spending.  You can use this rewards calculator to see which card(s) will pay you the most for your normal expenses:

A lot of people like the American Express Blue Cash card.

  2. The best one is a debit card... why pay interest and annual fees??? Check out bankrate for the options:

  3. American Blue Express credit cards are just like other credit cards because you can conduct all your transactions without paying cash, simply by using the card.

One reason that many people shy away from getting credit cards is due to the annual fees necessary for the maintaining the credit cards. But for a person who does not want to pay the annual credit card fees should go for the American Blue Express credit card.

Apart from no annual fee feature of the American Blue Express it also gives cash returns on specific purchases. Users of the American Blue Express also enjoy protection against fraud for online credit card transactions. This card tries to right the various wrong notions about the American Express credit cards, one of which is that it is a credit card only for rich or those who have money to keep a credit card.

  4. I've heard Discover referred to as one of the harder cards to be approved for because you need excellent credit to apply.  I'm not sure if that translates into better customer service, but so far I've not had any problems with them.  It really depends on what kind of use you're going to have for the card.  There are SO many kinds out there now with different rewards that one card might be perfect for one person and just not a good fit for another.

You asked about other credit card brands.  If you go to any big credit card site, you can pull up a list of lots more issuers than just Discover and American Express. For example, there's Advanta (business), First Premier, HSBC, Horizon Gold (for people with bad credit), New Millenium Bank, etc. that all offer credit cards.

  5. None of the above.   The best credit card is the one cut up in the trash can.

  6. American Express has the best service and gives the most cash back, but as a result not as many people take it. From an only operating view, American Express.

However Mastercard gives more Cash Back than Visa (depending on your plan) and most places take it, making it the best choice for that.

  7. Discover

they work with you and give the best rates, do not charge for pay by phone and will forgive a few late payments and not sadle you with a higher rate no matter what.

    WORST

    BOA

  8. The "best" credit card on the market will depend on your personal financial situation and what you plan to do with the card. There are "best" low interest rate cards, "best" balance transfer cards, "best" prepaid cards, etc.

You can find a selection of "best" credit cards in each category at the site referenced below.

  9. I think Visa & Mastercard are the best brands because they are more widely accepted than the other brands.
