  1. Carnival is known as the fun ship, and there is a lot of partying going onboard, with a lot of young people (also a lot of kids and families) But, the accomodations, food, etc. are not the best quality I have been around.

I think that Royal Caribbean is a lot more fun, has a lot more to do and makes a big improvement over Carnival based on rooms, cleanliness, service, food, etc.

Carnival is almost always less, sometimes Royal Caribbean is a little less or the same price, but I think that Royal Caribbean is worth the extra money.

It also depends on how much you are wanting to spend and what you are looking for onboard. There are a lot of other great lines, i.e. Disney, Princess, Cunard, Celebrity, NCL, etc. But these lines tend to run more, some cater more to older adults, while Disney caters more to family and kids but still makes a great choice for adults as well.

I've included a link to a site with reviews on all the cruise lines, it is really great and gives a ton of information. The message boards are also great for getting questions answered.

  2. I would have to say Carnival, they are awesome!

  3. Oh, try that all inclusive Cruise from Royal Caribbean. My husband has been looking into for a future vacation for the two of us and it sounds wonderful. Make sure you book one that does not allow children under 16 unless you don't mind a bunch of loud screaming kids running all over the place and disturbing your peaceful vacation! Book one that isn't on a schedule and allows you to eat when YOU want to eat and do what YOU want to do when you want to do it. Some of them put you on their schedule and IMO that is not a vacation!

    Have fun!

  4. EasyCruise and Aida Club.

  5. There's a free Cruise Travel Guide at:

    http://www.yourinternettravelguide.com/f...

that has a lot Cruise tips in it so it may help.  It also has some travel links in it to cheap deals sites.

Also, this review site had some good stuff last time I looked at it:

    Hope it helps

  6. I know alot of people are referring to carnival and for very good  reasons, but thats not your only option.  Try looking at Ocean Village, very relxed & targeted at the younger generation of cruisers.

If you fancy cruising the Mediterranean (and who doesn't) then  then Costa has a very good ratio of young cruisers as do most american cruise lines in the caribbean.

  7. Without knowing more about you, or how you like to travel it's hard to make an accurate recommendation.

If price is a concern, look at Carnival.

NCL offers a lot of flexibility in dining and scheduling, however guest satisfaction has been going down in the last few months.

Royal Caribbean can be more expensive depending on the ship and itinerary, but they have A LOT of fantastic activities especially on their larger ships. (Radiance, Voyager, and Freedom classes)

If you are specifically looking for a younger crowd, look for sailings of 7 days or less.  Sailings of 7 days or longer attract an older crowd.  Luxury lines (Celebrity, Cunard, Silversea etc..) also attract older crowds.

Somebody mentioned Aida and Easy Cruise...  Both are viable options provided you're not an American.  If you are American then don't bother, neither market to Americans instead focusing their effort on the European market.  The products they offer aren't bad, however there will be few American's (you quite possibly could be the only ones) onboard and the experience you receive may not be what you're expecting.

As for children, the ONLY way to end up on a cruise without them is to look at a high end luxury line like Oceania, Crystal, or Silversea.  However doing so means that the average passenger age will be 55+.  No line bans children older than 12 months, however some luxury lines make it clear that they don't cater to them.  Lines that attract passengers in their mid-twenties also tend to promote themselves to families as well....

I strongly advise you to speak with a travel agent, in particular one that specializes in cruises.  They can help you find the line that fits your tastes.  I recommend Cruise Planners, they will offer you the same discounts as the big online sites AND they don't charge any fees unlike the online sites.

  8. Go to http://www.love.allabouthoneymoons.com they can plan any type of trip not just honeymoons and destination weddings. If you tell them what you like and your budget they will plan the perfect trip for you.Best of all if you use there service to book your trip there service is free b/c the fee is paid by the hotel, cruise line or resort.
