  1. If you don't have a travel agent, I would start there.  Find an agent who will do more than just hand you a brochure and tell you where to go.  This is your vacation and you want to take a cruise that you and your family will enjoy, not something the agent once enjoyed.

    The agent should ask you:

    - What experience do you want to get out of your cruise?

    - What interests do those in your party enjoy?

    - Is there a particular site or port you'd like to visit?

    - How long of a cruise would you like to take? What dates

       would you prefer?

    - What is your budget?

This will assure you find a cruise that will make everyone happy.

If you don't have an agent, please feel free to give me a call at 866-485-8175 and I'll be glad to help you.

  2. Carnival Conquest

  3. Disney Cruise!

They have a teen only nightclub and a great arcade!

They even have adults only sections where you can hide from your kids!  :0)

  4. You do realize that summer is the prime time for family cruises and that you do not get the best bargains.

Carnival is not the best bet since there will be many drunk college kids who will be after your teenage kids.

Princess is a good cruise line.  Norwegian is more unstructured and may be a good idea for your family.

  5. Carnival is a very good cruise line for your aged kids.

Very economical plus Carnival is not too strict with the kids. Carnival has arcades, basketball courts, pools with slides, some with putt putt golf. The teen club is a good way for the teens to make vacation friends.

The kids love the 24 hour pizza and all you can eat ice cream.

Check out www.vacationstogo.com to compare ships and itineraries.

For the Carnival line, I recommend the larger ships, like the Conquest class.  @ 110 tons, she seems to give a smoother ride.

The best piece of advice I can give folks cruising with teens...get some of those 2-way radios to keep in touch while on board ship.  Gives you piece of mind while giving the teens freedom to enjoy the trip.  Reduces frustration when you are trying to find someone in your party.

You can buy them at Wal-Mart, Target, Radio Shack.
