What is the best damage repair mask for my hair?

My hair is naturally curly, but I used to straighten it every day. I left it alone for the summer, but it's still very dry from the summer heat. It's also weak in places. What is a good hair mask that can fix all those problems, preferably something I can get at a beauty store or local drugstore, unless a home treatment works really REALLY well.

  2. Hey there,

Well a lot of those shelf products just don't do the trick sometimes it even does more harm to your hair. But you should give virgin olive oil a try. Also adding an egg into a bowl with the olive oil helps a lot.

I suggest leaving the olive oil in your hair for at least a couple hours or as long as you can. When it comes to washing it out, just use your regular shampoo and you may need to repeat because the olive oil may take a while to wash out. But don't use any conditioner because it will make your hair look and feel really greasy.

I use this hair mask pretty often because I also have curly/thick long hair and straightening it takes a toll on it. Enjoy and I hope it works for you!

  3. Aveda's Damage Remedy is a miracle.  I love it.  All the stylists rave about another called K-Pak, made by Joico.

  4. Make it yourself naturally. With coconut oil, strawberries, egg yolk and white and jojoba oil... mix these and put it on your hair for 20-25 minutes twice a week and you'll see the results in a month or less.
