  1. All of the cabins on the Holiday are on one of four decks:  Riviera, Main, Upper and Empress.  There are a few suites on the Verandah deck.

The best place to be noise wise (quietest) is to have other cabins above and below you.  Thus, the best decks to be on are the Main and Upper decks.

  2. Well it depends what kind of cabin you are looking into getting, but the higher deck would probably be better. Most of the time if you are getting an inside cabin, they are low, but if you pay a little more you can get it to be higher. The reason you would want a higher cabin would be because you would be closer to the pool deck and restaurants and such. If you are on a lower deck you would have to use the elevator, but it is usually so full of people that it takes longer to get on the elevator than to walk the stairs. If you were on a lower deck than you would have to possibly walk a lot of stairs to get places. Although, if you were worried about motion sickness it is good to be low and in the middle of the ship. I have been on the Carnival Legend, but have not been on the Canival Holiday. But from what I have heard, a lot of the ships are alike. We went for an inside cabin because we spent more on excursions and such. But suites are always higher on the decks. Ocean view it depends. They are like inside cabins. Good luck with your decision!!

  3. Whether you get an inside, outside, or balcony cabin, ask for one in the middle of the ship.  At that location, you do not feel the roll of the ship or hear the anchor dropping or the propellers churning up the water.

  4. I was just on the Holiday 3 months ago.  Your choices are inside or outside cabins and a few suites.  The Holiday does not have a balcony class of cabins.  All of the cabins will be the same size, have the same level of service and the same items in them.  The only reason higher decks cost more is because people have been trained to think they are better.  They are not.  The cabins are all the same.  The pool / buffet area of course is on the top deck.  The shopping area / theater etc is on decks 8-9  the main dining rooms are on 3. When I was on the ship, I never had to wait for an elevator.  As far as noise, movement etc.  As a rule, the lower the deck, the less movement and also the closer to center, the less movment.  Most of the desirable places on the ship are in the center so my advice would be to get a lower deck near center.  There is no reason to pay more to get an identical cabin on a higher deck unless you want to be very close to the pool area.

  5. it really doesn't matter something in tha middle maybe but not in Back the balcony rooms are GREAT
