Back to back economic quarters with negetive economic growth.  The US has had positive growth, albeit little lately.  Few respected economists still believe we are headed towards recession, especially given how the Euro and Yen have fallen compared to the dollar since February.  The price of commodities (gold, oil, silver, etc) has also dramatically dropped and has reduced the likelyhood of a full blown recession.
