A deceptive persion can have the appearance of just about anyone. Even the sweet little old grandma can be deceptive. Some people are masters at deception but when a person is not being honest they will have a "tell" - a twitch, a blink, clear their throat, look away, tilt their head... some sort of movement. And there will be holes in their story. If it doesn't make sense to you, it's probably not true. When you question them they may get defensive or try to convince you that you're not smart enough to understand. Pay attention to their words and actions because they'll trip up eventually, they always do. Mostly, just trust your instinct.
