I have the Olympus 1030 shock+waterproof $325. AWESOME camera! and it takes underwater pics, and you don't have to worry about dropping it or getting it wet. DURABLE AND SWEET!!

fuji S9600 or Fuji S9100. amazing camera. great zoom, great quality, easy to use. yes it is a bit scary looking. but it is an amazing camera. i love it. you can start to find used nikon d40 cameras in that pricerange if you look hard enough.
