Price doesn't matter. Please give information about that camera and tell me why it has the best performance of any other point-and-shoot camera. Doing so will earn you ten points.

  1. im not quite sure what you mean by 'point and shoot' but i can tell you the BEST camera going..

    nikon D60

as well as being one of THE MOST compact DSLRs around, it also has 10+ mp and the nikon name behind it.. its also got a self cleaning lens, which means you only have to get it proffesionally done every 2 years or so, instead of every 6 months!!!!!

  2. Any camera is point and shoot if you just leave all the settings on auto.  If you meant a compact digital camera, I'd recommend the Fujifilm Finepix F100fd.

    1.  It goes up to ISO 12800 at 3 megapixel resolution of ISO 3200 at 12 megapixel resolution.

    2.  It uses a lithium ion battery.

    3.  It has sensor shift image stabilization.

    4.  It has a 1/1.6" sensor.

    5.  It has a 5X optical zoom.

It's not perfect though.  It will only take pictures up to 8 seconds long.  That's enough for a fireworks show, but not for astrophotography and some other types of night shots.

  3. Check out the Sigma DP 1. It has the same size sensor as the average DSLR (approximately 15 times bigger than the average sensor in a point & shoot) so its performance should be excellent. Its only drawback is the fixed focal length (non-zoom) lens.

  4. For point and shoot.

Shoot for maybe a Canon Powershot SD770 IS. Its only $300. Its quite perfect for every day shots, and its easy to use. It has a 2.5 inch LCD screen. Image stabilization for non-blurry shots. Its even 10 megapixels! It has ISO up to 1600 which is great for low light scenery, but can add a little noise. It has motion detection, and face detection for that focus right on the money! It has an live eyeglass to look through when its too bright to see the screen. It has 3x optical lens, and 4x digital zoom, which goes pretty far! It offers Canon Digic III processor which makes pictures crystle clear and so much detailed, with a super fast click of a button.

And its just so sleek and smooth! You have to try it!

Or you can try its big brother, the Canon Powershot SD790 IS. Pretty much the same, except it dropped the eyeglass to make room for a nice 3 inch LCD screen. And only $350.

    Or better yet
