  1. hotels are rather pricy in the city centre but with a great metro system wherever you stay in the city you can reach the centre in 10-15 mins.  hotel new montmarte beside the sacre couer is great value around £20 prpn ($40, 35E,) including breakfast.

  2. I would recommend Etap, which is a hotel chain. The rooms are small but clean, and equipped with toilet, shower, and a TV, not that you're likely to want to watch a lot of TV while in Paris. Someone mentioned Formule 1, which is a good chain as well, and a bit cheaper than Etap, but you should know that you'd be sharing bathrooms and showers with other people. Some travelers don't mind that, but others might. At any rate here's a link for Etap if you're interested. They tend to be located on the outskirts of the city (the "Portes", i.e. Porte d'Orléans, Porte de Montreuil, etc), but Paris is small so you'd only be about 15 to 20 minutes from the heart of the city by métro. Have a great trip!

  3. The Hotel Tiquetonne  at 6 rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arr. is one of the cheapest. You can get a single room with a shared bath for 30 euros. With private facilities the price rises to 50 euros. Book it here: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/hotel/ho...

  4. Try Première Classe or Hotel Formule 1

Première Classe has small rooms with TV/satelite and a small en suite shower/sink/toilet.

Formule 1 has small rooms as well, however toilet and shower are shared.

Both have rooms with a double bed - and some with additional childrens bunk bed or cot.

They are not in the centre, you'll be hard pressed to find a hotel less than 40€ a night in the centre of Paris.

  5. 47,50$/1p or  72,50$/2p with breakfast

    It is "ACCUEIL AMJ"

    57, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Jacques.

  6. Hello, the booking.com works great for me (personal opinion).

You can find good offers, reviews and ratings from guests (a great tool to decide based on other people bad or good staying experience).

I'm using it when I want to travel abroad and I didn't have any problems. The hotels and the rooms were exactly as I red and saw on site.

The maps also gives you an idea where the hotels reside.

The reservation process is easy and you don't need to pay with credit card.

Enjoy your travel, Paris is excellent!
