  1. I think a vinegar and water solution might neutralize it and I think I read somewhere that there is a solution you can buy. Check it out at a garden center. Maybe you could train the dog to go in one spot. I love my dog more than the lawn so I learned to live with  it. I would dump some water on the spots but then there would always be another one.

  2. Yes, there is a spray available at the pet store. Here is a link to show you what to look for:

There are also tablets that you can give your dog to neutralize his/her urine. Here's links to show you:

(Green-UM is also available in treats and biscuits)

I do not know if you can make your own mixture or biscuits. A trip to the pet store will show you all of the available products. Good luck! :)

  3. Lots of water is the best.

Get rid of the dog may be even better.

    The choice is yours.

  4. Dog urine is very salty from the uretha.  Try to train the dog to stop peeing in one spot and to pee all over instead.  Dog urine, like any othe fertlizer, is deadly when overdone.

    Most fertlizers are salts.

My dogs pee all over the back yard and I don't have a problem.

Perhaps you can remove the grass and replace it with sand or gravel?  It would be prettier in the long run.

  5. Aside from watering a lot there really isn't much you can do to make the spot just go away.  However, if you'd like to get some new grass growing there, get some gypsum (or lime) and mix that in with the soil before you put down seed.  It neutralizes the pH since urine makes it very acidic.

  6. plain water... as soon as possible after the dog goes...... dog urine is extreme fertilizer and the brown spot is fertilizer burn.... so you need to get out there quickly or teach doggie to go in a specified area so you can catch up......

don't add vinegar!!.. more acid!!...and we use vinegar as a weed killer!!

the only 'solution' I can think of,  would be for odor and that's needing an enzyme like in Nature's Miracle from the pet store....
