Question:

What is the best drugstore mineral foundation for sensitive skin?

My skin is like super sensitive. It reacts terribly to certain foundations and itches like crazy afterwards and I've heard that mineral makeup would be best for this type of skin. All I want is an affordable, easy to use foundation that would cover up my redness and blotchy skin. Please help. Thanks!

  1. Physcian's Formula-

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear foundation is talc-free and contains several minerals. The minerals include Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, and Silica. Benefits of these minerals include the minimization of fine lines resulting in an "airbrushed" appearance of the skin, UVA and UVB protection, and oil absorbtion. Minerals are also ideal for those of us that wear contacts as they provide full coverage without the irritation factor.

Ranges from $10.00-13.00 At most stores.

Loreal Mineral wear is also good but not targeted for sensitive skin like PF.

Also try Neutrogena or Almay... Great for sensitive skin and they also make mineral foundation.

  2. Try everyday minerals.  You order the free sample online (pay like 5 bucks s/h).  Its prices are comparable to drugstore prices and even less.  Their product is more pure and does not contain the oxybismuth stuff that all other mineral makeups contain.  Check out their website ans cross check the ingredients with those of which you'd find at the drugstore.  With their kits, you get a great deal.  I love the stuff for my sensitive blotchy skin!
