What is the best e-book reader?

I need an ebook reader! What is the best and affordable one?

My aunt is going to buy me one and she's living in Epsom, UK!

anybody here knows any? and be sure it can read .lit, .pdf, .txt and .doc files! Thanks and God speed! :D

It may sound simple and outdated, but I just bought a Palm T/X and it is great. Not too big, not too small. I can use it for all kinds of things, but mostly I use it for my eBooks and audio books.

For eBooks it reads pdf, pdb, txt, .doc. I have not tried to find software for lit yet.

I also use it with my audible.com account to listen to audio books.

It is inexpensive and comfortable to use.

for every type of ebook you have different reader:

.lit can read Microsoft reader

.pdf - Acrobat reader

.txt - Word Pad

.doc - Microsoft word or Open Office Writer
