There is a lovely little Italian restaurant (I can't remember the name of it) just off Shop street up toward the Spanish Arch end of Shop Street in Galway - it's really small - only about 8 tables in the place, but they have a good variety on the menu, lots of special deals, they are very reasonable priced, extremely accomodating and friendly and the food is mouthwateringly delicious. My partner and I went to Galway for Valentines for a weekend 2 years ago and discovered this place by accident the night before Valentines, we went back to Galway again this year and went back to this restaurant and had a delicious romantic meal.

The first year we were in Galway, we had our Valentines meal in a little French Bistro called Pierre's just a few doors down from the Spanish Arch hotel - I had the salmon and my partner had the steak - both of which were the nicest either of us had ever tasted! Absolutely yummy!
