  2. You might want a nice car.  But you probably should not put a lot of work and money into it.  If this is your first car and runs OK, you should drive it and not even think about new engines and transmissions (thousands of dollars) . If it is really in bad shape, you should check the cost of a used engine just like the one that is there already  (3.8 litre V6 ?)  or  look for a whole different car.  This one is 23 years old and not likely to become a collectors item.

Shampoo the interior and maybe buy some seat covers.

  3. Get a rebuilt Olds Golden Rocket 350.  Those things will go for 300,000 miles.

  4.   For a good smooth and powerful set up, use GM 455 or 454  engine and the buick 400 tranny.

For a good but cheaper set up, us the Chevy 350, 4 bolt main, 4 bbl carb, and again, the buick tranny.  A new factory crate engine can be had for around $1400.00, from Pace Pontiac, in Niles Ohio.

  5. Get a 525 cubic in. crate motor and drop that sucker in it!!!!!!
