    If you can't spend $400 then get a slightly used one for $300.

    If you look or wait, for the same price you might find a 'special edition' model (a model usually made special for one of the big dealers, perhaps it will have gold parts etc.) which will likely have a better finish along the fret edges (smoother and more polished).

    Then save up and try to find a '63-65 (pre T-top) Gibson pickup (for the neck) for around $500 and a '67-71 (Gibson T-Top) for the bridge for around $250 or maybe a '74 or 75 for around $150 on eBay - and for $950 - $1150 you will have an amazing sounding guitar to keep for the rest of your life of you're smart.
