I need to insure my horse before I take her to be riden by children.

  1. Insure her against what?  Liabiltiy, if a kid gets hurt?  Or her injuries?

    This is a pretty narrow niche, so you're going to have to shop around for a local independent agent who can shop this out.  Or  call the guy who writes your homeowners/farmowners policy, see if they can do anything for you.


  2. Check your state law, in many states the horse owner is not responsible for injury occurred during normal equine activity.  There is an assumed risk in getting on or near a horse. What you need is liability insurance.  

    To insure a horse for life or stated use i.e. stud runs about 5% of the total insured value per year, but I don't think that is what you are asking about.
