  1. The best evidence comes from looking at many sources, not just one. Why? As lineages evolve and split and modifications are inherited, their evolutionary paths diverge, producing a branching pattern of evolutionary relationships between species. So, the evidence from NUMEROUS scientific fields can be used to support the central ideas of evolution:

    1. Life has a history - it has changed over time

    2. Different species share common ancestors

    Here are some examples:

    1. Fossils - past living forms can be observed and change through time can be documented.

    2. Comparative Anatomy - related organisms have same structure as common ancestor; modifications reflect adaptations

    3. Comparative Embryology - similarities among embryos point to common ancestors; similar genes with new instructions over time

    4. Molecular Evidence - all life has DNA as hereditary material and species with similar DNA are closely related

    5. Supporting knowledge - evolution also rests on evidence from outside itself (e.g. physics, geology, chemistry, and other areas of biology).

Cumulatively, the evidence based on the concepts above indicate that organisms change over time, which is why evolution is accepted by the vast majority of scientists worldwide.

Based on your previous questions, you have sadly stated "evolution is an atheistic attempt to explain away God our creator," and that "evolution is not science." Neither statement is accurate, and hopefully you have since expanded your understanding of evolution. But the quick *thumbs down* suggests otherwise.

  2. Comparative anatomy, genetics, the fossil record, the stratigraphical study of rock layers, embryology and etc.

  3. read about Darwin's observations on the evolving beaks of finches in the Galapagos islands.

  4. There is really far too much to sensibly list here.

    Try these websites:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence_of...

    http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/evolutio...

  5. Read The Blind Watchmaker by Richard Dawkins. He is of course a rabid atheist and has lots of political baggage so some might not want to read his books, but try to ignore that because the book is wonderful. I read it already believing in evolution so I can't say if it would be as effective in convincing a creationist, but it is a fantastic book and very informative.

  6. The sheer volume of evidence from different branches of science is the best evidence.

Couple this with the obvious dishonesty of the creationist movement and it's hard not to pick a winner.

  7. research on Charles Darwin and you'll eventually get it
