  1. basically work your legs and hips.  and soon you'll round housing people like chuck Norris.

    Squats would be my #1 choice in this situation.


  2. The best way to improve your roundhouse kick is simply to kick. All the strengthening exercises are just that strengthening exercises. A Good kick is not due to having strong muscles. It is from learning to kick correctly and learning to coordinate the right muscles.  If you take the time to pay attention to how you kick you will be able to make small corrections. Been there done that!

    EDIT:  Someone asked Bruce Lee what kind of exercises he could do to improve his kick.  Lee said "If you want to learn to kick, ....Kick! "

As mentioned above - the Squat is a total body movement, much like a kick.  Even though you strike with the shin (or foot in some styles) you really put your whole body in to it.  When you get good at squats, try them with a 75 degree twist as you come up.  Twisting squats are really great in strengthening your muscles and nerves at straightening the leg while twisting the body.

    The best exercise though is heavy bag work, especially with someone bracing the bag and shoving it against your kick.

  4. First warm up with light exercises, then do some light stretches and then use a chair to practise over.
