A little take out place in High River, Alberta, Canada, called the Hitchin Post.......stuffed mushrooms, best homemade burgers ever!!! not even sure if it's open now but in the late 80's....WOW!!!!  You could only have take out and people would line up outside for what seemed like an eternity.....mm mm good...definately not a franchise..............................

while visiting a relative in portland oregon i stopped in to a Burgerville and loved it!  they use fresh and local ingredients.  their fish and chips was wonderful.
