What is the best film to put on my windows to block sun?

I need to block more sunlight...what should I get?

  1. Many choices but for a lifetime warranty window film installed by a pro choose either LLumar or Vista see http://www.llumar.com or http://www.vista-films.com

    Best bet DR15, or V14 these films will cut glare by 85% and last decades.


  2. I like to use solar screen, it looks like a regular screen on windows except it is much thicker and covers the whole window. They block about 75% of the suns energy coming through the windows. In the winter they can be removed to take advantage of the solar heat gain.

  3. I have a very large west facing window in my living room and used the Gila heat control film.  It was pretty easy to apply (you need at least 2 people) and it also helps with the glare.
