I sure do not like the really basic Microsoft Windows firewall so I assume that is why you are asking around? As a stand alone firewall- we use Computer Associates on all our PC's since we have a fairly extensive network. It has been our first line of defense for years and has served us well. I use Zone Alarm free for the past ten years and never has one rouge packet entered my PC.

Most firewalls come as part of the package for Internet Security - Have used Norton for quite some time 98-ME- XP- Vista. Has not let me down.
