I'm looking for somewhere that does chips like they used to do in chip shops years ago. We don't like chips which are too white, too hard, and not cooked long enough. Any ideas?

  1. Harry Ramsdens, next to the Clyde Ferry. Take a taxi over from the City Centre.

  2. The best fish and chips in Glasgow are in Bennys which is along Alexandra Parade in the East End of the City.

  3. The  chips you used to enjoy were fried in beef dripping, now the chippies use cholesterol-free veggy oil. there's no comparison .BRING BACK THE DRIPPIN

  4. Get in the car, drive to Troon, go to the Wee Hurry at MacCallum's Fish Restaurant at the harbour - your taste buds will thank you for it! It's a wee tiny take away and it's amazing!
