  1. With out a doubt the Palomar I have had my line broke before but never had the knot puled loose. It has never failed for me and I don't for see any failures unless I have mental lapse and tie it wrong. I don't feel I could say that about any other knot.

  2. well i don't know the name but it is when you twist the line into like 2 figure eights then put the loose end through the top of the loop and then through the new loop again, pull and tighten it.  it gives you approx. 70 - 85% breaking strain

  3. omg dude i used to go fishing every day and could do the palomar really quick and it worked great

i cant belive i found someone whoe likes the one i do too :D

  4. the palomar knot have never lost a fish while i was using it

  5. It all depends on the application. Palomar: attaching line straight to terminal tackle, like hooks; Rapala Knot for use with Rapala lures or with jig heads.  I know for certain that the offshore guys use a "Bimini Twist Knot," mostly called a Bimini Twist, which one of the hardest knots to tie but has 100% breaking strength.  I used to only use the Palomar, but now I use the Rapala Knot.  Click here: http://www.rapala.com/pdfs/instructions/...

  6. In my opinion a "Double Bloodknot".

  7. Palomar, definitely. I cant imagine using another one. If I did though, I wouldn't catch nearly as many fish.
