What is the best flight school located in Toronto?

I want to be a professional pilot but I am looking for some schools and I still can't seem to find out which one is better than the other. I want a school that has a good reputation and high success rate for their students. The school doesnt have to be located in toronto, the surrounding suburbs are just fine.

Also, is Toronto Airways a good flight school?

Being in Toronto, you have a pretty good choice for different flight schools. The first question however, is are you looking to attend an Aviation College program, a Diploma Program at a flight school or do your training on your own pace at a local flight school?

For the most part, all the schools in the Toronto area have a pretty good reputation. If you search Toronto Flight Schools at http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2 you'll be able to read individual comments people have made about different schools.

For College Programs, Seneca College http://aviation.senecac.on.ca has an excellent, subsidized, 4 year Bachelor of Applied Technology program. While attending there won't necessarily help you in your first couple jobs, the school is very well respected by airlines.

Centennial College in Scarborough has a college program in conjunction with the flight school in Oshawa and I believe Humber College still has a flight program. Seneca would be a better choice as it's subsidized and has a good reputation.

Brampton Flying Club has a 1 year Commercial Pilot Diploma program. While I don't know how respected this diploma is as it's not from an accredited College, having a set schedule that gets you all the licences and ratings in a year would be a good way to go.

Toronto Airways, like the rest of the schools in Toronto has a good rep. The downside to most of the schools in Toronto is that they can be relatively busy and more expensive than schools further outside of the city

Try out a few of the different schools and take some intro-flights. The ones near Toronto include not only Toronto Airways, Brampton Flying Club http://www.bramfly.ca/, Burlington http://www.spectrumairways.com/services/... Oshawa, Toronto Island, Markham, Hamilton, Waterloo.
