3) Any Geylang area

4) Outram market (Former Chinatown food centre)

5) Aljunied food market

These few places REALLY offer great choices of food and reasonable prices for local delights and other culture cuisines. I'm sure you'll like what I've intro you but you've got to travel and explore to find out these spots. Would'nt say the best but take my word for it that the Manderin has a cuisine to match all tastes and cultures.Another good thing about Singapore is No tipping. that rule applies everywhere

Well it depends on your budget and what you want to eat. Singapore has many eating places with great food and reasonable pricing ($2-$10) almost everywhere! For local fare, it'd be the various hawker centers around.

Katong is known for their famous Katong Laksa, there are two stalls there that are very famous and they are along the same street.

Duck rice, fried prawn/sotong noodles, it'd be Geylang.

Prawn noodles, would be geylang area, very close to the kallang mrt station.

Beef noodles - amoy street food center & lavender food center

The list just goes on.

U could try the hawker centre at Bukit Timah. Their food is nice yet cheap, especially the barbecue stingray and clay fish in sweet and sour sauce.

There are also many dessert stalls around to feast after dinner. Try the bean curd stall, managed by a couple in their 50s. Their bean curd is silky!
