  1. If you can find a nice place for food in Singapore, you will pay for any price...

  2. You can try these few places:

    1) Maxwell food market

    2) Lavender food market

    3) Any Geylang area

    4) Outram market (Former Chinatown food centre)

    5) Aljunied food market

These few places REALLY offer great choices of food and reasonable prices for local delights and other culture cuisines. I'm sure you'll like what I've intro you but you've got to travel and explore to find out these spots. Try to visit this website at www.streetdirectory.com in case you need the maps or any direction for taking buses or mrt.

But bear in mind, eating great & cheap food in Singapore doesn't have air-con because all these places are at outdoors. So remember to bring along some tissue papers and portable pocket electric fans which may come in handy for you. Have fun and enjoy our wonderful delights of Singapore!

  3. Old Airport road food  centre

  4. One at Jalan Pisang (Closed on Sundays) and another at Joo Chiat Rd (Closed on Mondays).

(Jalan Pisang is noted to be the better one claimed by many reknowned-won't-face-any-dish other than those that's-not-from-their-own-home chefs)

    HAJAH MAIMUNAH restaurant!

    Superb dining!

    Tongue melting!

    Teeth shattering!

    Go eat, NOW!

  5. Would'nt say the best but take my word for it that the Manderin has a cuisine to match all tastes and cultures.Another good thing about Singapore is No tipping. that rule applies everywhere

  6. The pongol nasi lemak at tanjong katong road is quite nice.

  7. serangoon gardens, cheap and very good,i reccomend the satay and the har mian

  8. Well it depends on your budget and what you want to eat. Singapore has many eating places with great food and reasonable pricing ($2-$10) almost everywhere! For local fare, it'd be the various hawker centers around.

Katong is known for their famous Katong Laksa, there are two stalls there that are very famous and they are along the same street.

Duck rice, fried prawn/sotong noodles, it'd be Geylang.

Prawn noodles, would be geylang area, very close to the kallang mrt station.

Beef noodles - amoy street food center & lavender food center

    The list just goes on.

  9. U could try the hawker centre at Bukit Timah. Their food is nice yet cheap, especially the barbecue stingray and clay fish in sweet and sour sauce.

There are also many dessert stalls around to feast after dinner. Try the bean curd stall, managed by a couple in their 50s. Their bean curd is silky!

  10. Banana Leaf Apollo without a doubt.

  11. Hawker Centre or a shopping food court! You are lucky! I am a singaporean!
