  1. Keep your head forward and keep your hands closed and do not clench them. This will make you more airodynamic.

  2. When you get out of the blocks, your head should be down and STAY down for the first 20-30 meters.  Keep your body low and gradually raise it until you are upright around 30 meters into the race.  Many people stand up right away, and they get hit by the drag/wind right away.

Also, when you are upright keep your head straight and dont sway your arms across your both.  Pump your arms forward and backward, and keep your knees high, and stay on your toes.

  3. Keep your body nice and staight

    Head looking forword... NEVER DOWN

    Fingers on hand closed toghther

Arms swinging back and forth the faster the arms the faster you are

I have a track meet every Sunday.

  4. at the start of the race hold ur head down with the body bent forward slightly then gradually as ur speed increases raise ur head.keep ur hands to the side of ur hips with ur fingers straight
