  1. MalwareBytes is Great, but I would also use SuperAntispyware as sometimes one of these two programs will catch what another one will not.

Also you should do a full scan on Malwarebytes in Safe mode.

if that doesn't clean it up completely, Download a 30 day free trial of the top rated Kaspersky.

uninstall your current AV and Install Kaspersky After cleaning up you can find it cheap at Amazon.

If you can't afford it after the 30 day tril put on the top rated (in detections / removal) AV Program Avira Antivir

  2. Install spybot search and destroy, update, scan, remove spyware and immunise your system against future infection.

Spybot search and destroy is the best free anti-spyware tool that contains many features.

    http://www.safer-networking.org/

Spybot search and destroy immunize your computer against spyware.

It modifies Internet Explorer to block a lot of the bad stuff known to Spybot.

There is a second layer of protection for IE that blocks anything that should come through by different aspects.

Spybot Resident a tool which check permanently running application to protect your system.

Spybot Resident TeaTimer is a tool which perpetually monitors the processes called/initiated and immediately detects known malicious processes.

It giving you some options how to deal with this process in the future:

You can set TeaTimer to be informed when the process tries to start again automatically kill the process or generally allow the process to run

There is also an option to delete the file associated with this process.

In addition, TeaTimer detects, when something wants to change some critical registry keys. TeaTimer can protect you against such changes again giving you an option: You can either Allow or Deny the change.

Spybot host file locking is a tool which locks the hosts file to prevent unauthorized changes.

    Locking the hosts file will prevent most hosts hijackers (even unknown) from doing harm;

Locking the IE settings will prevent other users of your computer to change your preferences.

Spybot ActiveX is a tool to display a list of installed ActiveX applications it will display a green checkmark in front of ActiveX applications known as legitimate,

and a red sign in front if applications known as illegitimate

Spybot process list is a tool displays a list of all currently running processes,

including some information about them. It also allows you to kill some processes

Spybot System startup tool lists all programs that are started at Windows startup.

If those items are in the database coming with Spybot, it will display some more information about them.

It also allows you to disable (and enable) items, as well as delete them, change them or insert new items. The entries will be displayed in different colours:

    Green: legitimate program

Yellow: unknown, unneeded or unambiguous program (e.g. malware programs might use the same file name as legitimate programs)

    Red: malicious program

Spybot system internal is a registry cleaner that fix error in windows registry.

  3. If you can, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore > Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time

From there, choose a date from two weeks ago - your computer will be "rolled back" to that time - in other words, any programs, good or bad, installed between now and that date will (hopefully) be removed. Of course, any files you created, like Word docs, PowerPoint presentations and so on will be preserved.

This process will take about 10 minutes - once it starts, don't touch anything, your computer will reboot at some point.

After it's through, go to free.grisoft.com and download their version of AVG Free - it's easy enough to find the link. Personally, I use the licensed version and have had zero problems with viruses/spyware.

Please note that Anti-Virus 2008/2009 is inherently difficult to remove and you will most-likely have to clean install (start from scratch) if other methods fail.  I've dealt with this at work many times and the problems only get worse instead of better - popups, background changes, site redirects, etc.  Back up what you can for now then see if the above option works.  Good luck!

  4. I used AdwareAlert to fix that problem. You can find AdwareAlert download at the link below.
