What is the best format to transfer video from miniDv tape to PC?

I use 320X240 in sony USB software. There is option of 640X480 but I think the quality remains the same, only the video is interpolated? Am I right?

  1. The best format will be the one the video was shot in, but that's neither of your options.  Try using firewire instead of USB.
