What is the best free anti virus software?

Well I've tried to free versions of avg and avast and i was looking for something else. I'm a gamer so i need something that's low on system resources and is not intrusive!

What you need is Avira. It runs in your pc using small system resources.

Just a tip for a gamer like you, when you are playing, you can always disable the active guard, this way your games will run faster. When you do surfing and opening discs from your friends, enable it so you'll be protected from any threat coming from them.

Also don't forget to always keep your virus definition updated. All antivirus depends on its virus definitions. Without it, it can't detect latest threats roaming around the Internet.

I think the best anti virus program is Kaspersky. It will give you 30 day trial and after that you need to buy it but at least you can remove too many viruses in your computer by using that 30 day trial.

Detection rate not as high, but still excellent.

Try Avira Personal Edition(Avira.com)I been using it for a couple yrs. now.I`m happy with it.
