  1. I am sure you meant "aspiring" meteorologists. :-)

    Although some of these websites that I frequently use really do "inspire" me, so I will share them with you.

    I use this for radar, satellite, surface, and upper-air

    I use this for computer generated forecast models

    I use this for text data, much of which is encoded and may not be of use to you. Although the "forecast discussion" issued by NWS is very informative and is mostly in plain language.

    I do not use or own any weather software. Well, I take that back. I think I own a National Geographic CD-ROM that teaches about weather-related natural disasters. But it wasn't free.

  2. You'll want to check out WeatherScope. It's free, and although it's geared toward people in Oklahoma, you can get National Weather Service observations and radar for anywhere in the US. It's pretty cool for tracking storms. I've included the website for it, along with another page I think you'll find interesting.
