its not gonna hurt to put stp fuel treatment or something like that in the tank, but it is not gonna be very efficient for cleaning the injectors. there is a tool especially for cleaning the injectors. motorcraft has a fuel injection cleaner that they use to flush the injectors, but the tool is a specialty tools meaning that you have to have a shop do it unless you know someone that has one. it works really well and it is not that much to have it done. i would suggest getting the injectors cleaned once a year. I'm a certified mechanic that does all my own work at home, and i still pay a shop to flush my injectors once a year
