  1. monopaly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  2. Simply Catan or Settlers of Catan

Welcome to the unsettled Island of Catan. Using combinations of resources - wood, brick, wheat, wool and ore - players build, barter and trade in this family strategy game. The faster you build roads, settlements and cities, the more points you earn towards victory. Clever trading, lively negotiation, and the luck of the dice add to everyone's fun and enjoyment. Once you start playing you won't want to stop.

Simply Catan is based on the international, award winning classic game Settlers of Catan, which has sold over 12 million copies worldwide. Designed for beginning players, Simply Catan takes less than 5 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to play.

    Designer Notes:

Klaus Teuber was born in 1952, the son of a dentist father and homemaker mother. After receiving his Masters in Dentistry, he apprenticed for his father and ultimately took over the business in 1990. Klaus retired from dentistry in 1999 in order to become a full-time game designer. Klaus Teuber designed his first game in 1981, but the first published game was not until 1988 with Barbarossa und die Rätselmeister which won the prestigious German Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) that same year. Klaus continued publishing games on a regular basis, co-founding his own game company. Klaus has won the German Spiel des Jahres four times during his career. Additionally, he won the Best Children's Game award twice, the German "Gamer's Choice" award, and the Deutsche Spiel Pries (German Game Prize) four times.

  13. Of course the best game in the world is the one that you enjoy the most.  Having said that, I like Chess the best and many others would agree with me.

  14. Puerto Rico.

Best game ever. You have to make tough decisions every turn, and pay attention to what your opponents are doing.  There's very little luck, so you have to EARN the win.

    I can't recommend this enough.

  15. I have found that there is no single best game.  I have over 100 monopolies and I like most of the variations.  Similar games such as Easy Money and Finance, just are not as much fun.

Basic games of Pachisi are OK, but Sorry! and Parcheesy are more fun.

The original games of Life, Clue, Stratego, Battleship, Risk, and Scrabble, are all better than the newer variations.

Card games like Uno are great, and the variations just make it more fun.  The Star Trek variation is my favorite.

Mille Bornes is our favorite card game.  The 2 on 2 partnership cannot be beat for fun and action and getting people riled up.

Dice games such as Yahtzee and Skunk are great fun.

Other personal favorites are Facts in Five, M & Ms Party Game, Don't Go To Jail, Landslide, and Masterpiece.  Avalon Hill games can be played solitare or with teams.  Win, Place, & Show is the best horse race game I have found.

Variation is the spice of life.  We will be playing Scrabble and Mille Bornes today.

  16. The game of chess.  Why?  You can develop your memory and power of thinking at the same time.  Like life, any decisions that you take on the board have consequences, good or bad, and this developed your ability to think before to act. You can evaluate yourself when you evaluate yours games.

  17. Shogi- Japanese game chess.
