Question:

What is the best gel eyeliner for contact wearers?

I wear contacts, and I've tried just about every retractable and pencil eyeliner out there, and they always leave little specs of eyeliner on my contacts that can't be removed even with contact solution, causing me to throw away a fresh new pair every time.

I heard gel eyeliner is really good.

Is it better than other eyeliners? (liquid, pencil, retractable, etc.)

I'm a big eyeliner person and use it everyday in addition to bright funky eyeshadow colors.

What's the best gel eyeliner that I can get cheap at a drugstore, or at Macy's or something?

It doesn't unnecessarily have to be cheap, but of good quality.

And just because it says "safe for contact wearers" doesn't mean that it is, because I know Almay and Covergirl and a ton of other makeup companies put that on their eyeliner but they all have left immovable specs on my contacts, so only people experienced with eyeliner answer please!

If you could give me feedback that would be great, thanks!

  1. i wear contacts and still wear eyeliner most of the time. its the pencil kind tho. just dont put it on the inside of your eyes and put on your contacts BEFORE you put on your makeupp. but it right under/on the bottom and top eyelashes

  2. I wear contacts too and i use MAC fluidline. It is a gel eyeliner and comes in so many colors. Its $14.50 and can be purchased at Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, or a freestanding MAC store. It goes on very easily and lasts all day. Sometimes, if you put too much eyeliner on the brush, it can cause spots on your contacts, this has happened to me before but i was always able to remove it and i haven't lost any contacts because of it.

  3. i need help with my contacts if you have any tips please email me what you know also please answer my 2 questions OK

  4. i love loreal hip creme eyeliner ( its the closest to mac's fluidline ) . its like 10 at walmart, but one container lasts for over 5 months .

and it might help if you put on your contacts BEFORE you put on makeup .

  5. im a contact and eyeliner wearer, only a few things have worked, first i would try rimmel london special eyes, it works great.

also i would but ur contacts inbefor u do your makeup

just another thing i would try is clear and clean, its not like  norm optifree solution, it starts as proxide and moves into a sultion it works great.
