What is the best gift for a 13 year old girl?

my friend is getting me 2 gifts and one of them is a expensive watch but i dont know what the other gift is i need an idea of a gift that not too expensive and not to cheap

When I was 13, I was having a very rough time.  I was no longer "cute" and "a little girl", but I wasn't offered anyt kind of work, or fun, or life- or respect as an adult yet... It's arough age.  

ONe day, the girl wants to carry and play with dolls, and the next day the 13 yr. old wants to date - the next day they may feel like life isn't worth living.

I have no clue.  A diary might be good. But in this high-tech day and age, maybe an ipod.

you could get a pedicure set...like get some nail polish some foot scrub..rhinestones or decals..make it fun :)

I am a 13 year old girl and I would like clothes, a CD of my favorite band or singer, a DVD that I really like. That is all I can think of. I actually like getting those bracelet making kits or the stuff for your nails. Something like that is good. I would like to get a DVD of my favorite show but those are expensive. Maybe a gift card to her favorite store.

An appointment to get a mani/pedi, clothes (although a gift card to her favorite store is a better option so she can pick out her own stuff), Guitar Hero 3... etc. :)

that's difficult, but i loved getting a mail order bear, it was so sweet, and it had my name on the arm, like a tattoo, you could order one thru Vermont bears(i think), but you should be able to find it on-line,

A gift card is usually a good choice. Depending on the girl, maybe a giant stuffed animal. Girls never grow out of that stage, trust me. Find something you'll know she needs.. when you're around her, think about things she says.. she'll probably mention something you could get her. If she has a favorite show or band or something you could order her a shirt.
