Question:

What is the best gift for a stargazer?

I have already looked at the star charts and telescopes and they are both not what I am looking for. She likes meteor showers and if the gift centered around that it would be very cool and personal. I was thinking about something that old star-mappers used, what would be something like that and where could I find such a thing?

  1. Get a nice picture of the stars, meteors or anything that he likes and have it turned into a breathtaking portrait. This can be done at http://www.paintyourlife.com for a reasonable fee and according to your specifications!

They also do wonderful photo-printing on canvas in different designs. Please take a look at http://www.photo-print-on-canvas.com for more information.

  2. How about a small telescope.  Star-gazers love those.

  3. You could name a star after her.  There are sites that do that.  It's usually some random unnamed star that isn't visible to the naked eye, but still, her name would be out there in the sky she loves so well.

You could also check Ebay for astronomy-realted items, like old star charts or instruments.

  4. what about taking to see the planetarium or to a related event like star watching and treat to dinner.
