What is the best gift to get your pregnant friend?

so my boss/friend is about 20 weeks pregnant and i want to get her a practical gift i probly wont give her the gift until around december. she is finding out wether it a boy or a girl today i will let u no what it is when i find out but i want to get a really practical gift her sister has heaps of baby stuff to give her and her mum loves shopping and is bound to buy her just about everything she needs. so what was trhe best present u got when u were pregnat or what do u suggest i buy her??

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I'm happy to have received a lot of Gift Cards to Motherhood.    I would avoid buying her clothes because the sizes and styles vary SO much. I really have to try everything on to see what fits.

I'm saving my Gift Cards for when the weather gets cold and I need warmer outfits....so I'm really glad to have them and I know none of my clothes will fit by then.

Also..if you do end up buying clothes... be careful about buying from Motherhood.  Their return policy is terrible... no returns on sale items....and regular priced items even with a receipt must be returned within 10 days or you are stuck with them!!  I have several tops I'm stuck with because I didn't return them fast enough... the last thing I felt like doing was shopping while I had morning sickness...it wasn't fair and it's a terrible policy.

I am buying lots of maternity clothes from Target!! : )

I would say a gift card, that way she can buy what she needs when she needs it. Like pampers or formula etc. Have it in a nice card or small gift bag.

The best gift that I got was a really nice baby memory book! I love it and write something new in it everyday. It's a great life time gift!

Buy her a gift to a spa to treat herself after the baby comes! Moms need attention too, especially if you think that she will get everything for the baby from the family.

why dont you put together a baby hamper of dummies (pasifiers) baby lotion, cotton wool, baby blankets, babies first feeding bowl, mittens and bibs to match,also like a months supply of diapers, and maybe as an extra gift a gift voucher for some baby product or appliance. and also a wee gift wrapped up for the mammy at the bottom just to show she is as important as baby!! like a wee bottle of perfume

Gift cards for manicure or pedicure. Gift card for her favorite restaurant. Regardless, always just get a gift card because it's best to let her pick out the things she wants.
