  1. Wal-mart gift cards and diapers.  However, if you ask for diapers, ask your guests to give a gift receipt.  Some, not all, stores are real sticklers about exchanging diapers without a receipt.

  2. His saucer,his stroller & car seat,diapers & I would also say his swing,but I didn't get it at my shower.

  3. Gift cards, that way I was able to get what I wanted.

  4. Microwave bottle sterilizer

  5. DIAPERS woohoo, also someone gave me a super cute carter's diaper bag, it had all the little accessories in it like the changing pad and the diapee and wipee case lol!

  6. An heirloom cradle. My great-grandma's father made it. Since then babies from each generation have slept in it. It's been passed through my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and now me. And soon I'll pass it on to the next family member with a new baby.

  7. A hand written note from each individual on parenting tips put together in a book.

  8. My first husbands family thought (it ended up rightfully) that we were too young to marry so we eloped.  Two years later when I became pregnant their whole attitude did a turnaround!  They gave us many baby items that were passed down including cute out fits and a crib that my husband and his siblings had used.  They had the shower at their home (it wa a double shower because my sister was pregnant also) and bought a huge cake with our names on it.  It completely changed my relationship with them and to this day I love and miss his Mother and Grandmother.

  9. Diapers and his bouncer. I would say a swing but we didn't get that at the shower.

  10. It's hard to say one thing, I got many great things.

The most expensive thing that we got was our double stroller travel system, with two car seats and bases.

That would have costed us over $300 if bought brand new. Later, we also were given two 4-in-1 cribs. Which also saved us over $200.

    I love my family

  11. My moms best friend has always done a lot of sewing, she made a little bonnet and a bib to go along with every major holiday, and also one for the army (for me) and a navy one(one for dad).

Also, my cousins made my daughter a soft blankie.

  12. WAL-MART gift card

  13. My Jolly Jumper boppy pillow - I use it all the time for nursing and probably wouldn't even of thought buying one for myself.

  14. I think that if you're tired of the same old Baby Shower gifts you should read this article:

  15. The basics, all that little extra stuff noone really buys people.

  16. Diaper genie. I love that thing! I also got a lot of diapers and a ton of clothes.

  17. I didn't get one, but I now give them.  A stretchy wrap, like a Moby wrap, is AWESOME for newborns.  If you know the mother's size (before pregnancy), a fleece pouch for the winter is great, or a cotton pouch the rest of the year.  I think babywearing is the greatest thing I did as a parent, and it made life SO MUCH easier than dealing with a carseat or stroller.

  18. For me: a gift certificate to a day spa for a pedicure and pregnancy massage.

For baby: a front carrier and handmade quilts.

  19. everything! my shower was last weekend and i got practically everything i needed- and what i didnt get i got giftcards so i could go buy it!

i got my crib, stroller/carseat, endless amounds of clothes, boxes of diapers, toys, diaper genie and refills, bath tub, first aid kit, bathing products, diaper bag, humidifier and soo much more- i am very fortunate that my boyfriend has a HUGE family :)

but honestly i think they best gift i got was just that i had an amazing day that iwill remember forever :)

  20. A crib and changing table

  21. A $500 gift card for babies r us from my husband job.

  22. diapers

  23. Bumpo Seat and Swaddle Wrap!!
