use a golf ball with a lower compression.. for instance one that is quite soft. it is easier to hit for people with lower clubhead speads and will spin more around the greens.. it usually tells you on the packet how soft/ firm the golf ball is..

i play with a ffew seniors and the like the lady pinnacle. softer ball easier to get up in the air,  I would recommend any ladies ball except the crystals

The average senior player, over 65 and retired, who has been playing all his life seldom, if ever , buys a golf ball. He is experienced to know where the big hitters go awry. Like Yogi Bear said " The deeper in the woods you go, the more balls you find."  So those are the ones he uses. He is neither a stickler for brand or hype and what ever is new, shiny and undented is his ball of choice. He is not partial to hard covered balls for those are like hitting rocks.

The only time somebody can tell you that one type of ball is the "best" over another is because they are comparing them with thier own game.

I am 18years old, playing off 16 and I can shoot as low as 8over.

The feel of a ProV1 is too soft for me, but others would swear by them.

On the other hand, Dunlops are way too hard for my game. So I go for something which in between (what a suprise..)

If you want distance, go for a harder ball. If your a low handicap and are wanting the feel around the green then pick something soft.
