I really like the Srixon Z-URS they spin more than the Titleist Pro V1 and have more distance than the Pro V1x and Nike One Black. I love them!!!

The best golf ball for you is the one you play the best.  To say thet a pro "likes" a certain brand of ball is a fallacy: Professionals get paid large amounts of money to play certain brands.  Do you think Tiger switched from Titleist to Nike because the Nike ball is superior?  He's getting paid.

By far, the most popular ball on tour is the Titleist Pro-V1 or 1X.  But, Freddy plays Bridgestone, Phil plays Callaway, Tiger plays Nike, etc.  

In the hands of an amatuer, there is really no difference in the higher-end models.  

If money was no object, I would play a Titleist Pro-V1X, and I would play Pebble Beach every day of my life.  Alas...

The best golf ball that works for me are Titlelist Pro V. I also really like any Callaway ball, the Warbird is nice though. If you are asking what you should use, you'll have to just try a bunch until you've found a ball which you strike nicely.

There is a myth perpetrated by the ball manufacturers that there exists a "Best ball".  When Tiger was sponsored by Titleist....the Pro v was proportedly the king of the hill.....now that he is sponsored by Nike....they claim the Nike one is the Best ball.....Srixon has laid claims as well as just about every ball manufacturer in the world.  The Only "Best ball"  is the one that is best for your game and skills.  Everything else is just someones opinion of what works for them.

That all depends on what you like and what you are confident with. Soft, hard, distance, spin, workability etc.....

The best ball is the one you shoot the lowest score with.

As far as the Tiger and Phil comment above they are paid to say that. They will play whatever ball shoves the money their way. Marketing sure works though doesn't it?

He isn't asking what you like, He is asking what is the best. Typical of most answers. The best golf ball is who your listening to at the moment. Tiger likes Nike, Phil likes titelist, Etc. It's very hard to know which one is THE BEST. To many ADS saying their the best.

the one that sounds and feels the best to you .USGA has the set standard have golf ball can only fly so far ,is not matter what brand they all have to meet it .they can be shorter but can't over a certain distance .

Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x is surly a great golf ball. Now, however, there is the New Callaway Tour ix and Tour i golf balls which brings us a 4 piece golf ball. they are the same price so you should maybe by a dozen of them sometime.  There is also Nike one Platinum too.

to me titleist is the best

i've tried nike but i think its the way i play that makes it not as far that i play with titleist

It really depends on what kind of a player you are. Some balls carry far with a driver, but do not allow control in pitches or chips. Some balls are fast-spinning, but do not allow good distance. You cannot get the best of both driving and short game worlds. At least not with the presently available balls. You, however, can strike a compromise. For me, the best compromise in drive distance and short game control is given by the Titleist Pro V1x.

I have found that the best ball for me are the Ti-Techs from Walmart.  They feel good tee to green.  I've tried all the other balls mentioned here and each was good somewhere out on the course but none were good from driver to putter like the Ti-Tech.  You need to do your own testing and then pick one ball and stick with it religiously.
