If you are going to play in CT. may i suggest playing at the tpc in riverhighlands cromwell .ct . it is a very forgiving course where you can make some birdies.

History - Old Course, St. Andrews

History & Scenery - Pebble

Scenery, but lacking history, but has the true old world charm, Bandon Dunes

Difficulty - The Dragon (Gleneagles, CA), Bethpage Black

Do you know some one - Augusta National, Cypress Point

The point is that there are thousands of truly GREAT courses in the world... Even getting to the top 20 of all courses in each category (public, private, new, old, link, mountain, etc.) would be a lifelong quest.
