I would say Jackson, Kramer, Charvel, Yamaha, Aria , Ibanez, Hamer electric guitars. Fender tried to make a superstrat which is a guitar that can deal massive amount of gain. Here are some Fender ones; Fender Contemporary Stratocaster Japan (1984-1987)

Jackson is a good choice like the other guy said; but I've also alway liked BC Rich as well.  They have good sound, action, and look the part of a metal head.
