What is the best guitar you can buy for $200?

My husband had to sell his Gibson SG and I wanted to buy him another guitar for his birthday. I have about $200 to spend but I dont know that much about guitars. What would be a good kind to look for in ebay or some other website?

Craigs list is going to be best place to find that kind of deal. Check the music store web sites to get to know the prices so you'll know what you're talking about.

When you see one come up On CL call up the seller and make an offer to buy the item for your price if they can't get what they want for it.

Your not going to get a new SG for 200 (Unless your totally HOT and know how to shake down people for goods and services.)

Also works for major appliances and other stuff.

There's hardly anything you can get for that little money that's any good whatsoever.

Fact of life I'm afraid.

One of the few exceptions is the Ibanez PF, which is surprisingly good for its price.

If your looking for electric guitars for cheap, I would recomend an epiphone. They look cool and sound decent.

if you want something new, I recomend musicians friend

How abour an Epiphone copy of an SG? They are a  subsidiary of Gibson, so they should be similar. Check out Sam Ash music online.
