What is the best gun for slaughtering cattle?

out of all of my large caliber guns:

.35 remington, lever action rifle, scope

.30-.30 winchester, lever action rifle, open sights

.270 remington, bolt action rifle, scope

.44 magnum colt anaconda, handgun, open sights

Of the guns You named, the 3030. But he best is a 22 rifle with long rifle ammo. Any thing much bigger than that, You risk ruining a shoulder if You don't shoot straight and level between the eyes.

from my days of working in a packing house....... A .22 firing a .22 short.  the only thing you are doing is stunning them so that they can be cut and bled rapidly.
